Gift Aid Declaration

The Government operates a scheme called Gift Aid that allows charities to claim the basic rate tax on every pound donated. So if you donated £100 to St Columba’s, it means that you’ll actually be giving us at least £125.

Giving under Gift Aid means that so much more money can be raised at no extra cost to our donors. The Gift Aid rules require the completion of a Gift Aid Donation form. This provides us with the minimum information required for us to be able to claim Gift Aid on a donation. Please download the Gift Aid Declaration and pass to Jackie Jackson or any vestry member.

Standing Order Mandate

It is often easier to donate a smaller monthly amount than to make a larger single donation. You can set up a regular giving agreement to St Columba’s using a Standing Order. Please download the Standing-Order-Mandate2 and pass to Jackie Jackson or the Treasurer.

Hire of Church Hall

In order that you can use the church hall for your function or event we require that all young people are protected. To enable St Columba’s to verify this we require that a declaration is signed. Please download the  Scottish Episcopal Church child protection form 2013 and pass to Jackie Jackson.

St Columba’s alsop requires you to read and comply with the hire terms. Please download and read Hire Terms.

Finally we require the Hall booking form to be completed and returned to enable us to ensure that your booking confirmed and appropriate. Please download the hall-booking-form rev4 and pass to Jackie Jackson.

Photographs

Because a person can be identified by their image, the collection and use of photographs is governed by the Data Protection Act.  Certain measures must be undertaken to ensure that the rights of individuals are respected in the collection and use of photographs in St Columba’s.

To comply with the Data Protection Act St Columba is obliged to inform individuals if an identifiable image of them has been captured and must get their consent before it is used in publicity materials such as the monthly magazine, leaflets or on the St Columba website.  Any photographs on show in a public area, such as the church noticeboard, must also have the consent of the individual involved before being displayed. Please download  Photo Release Form and pass to any vestry member.

You may also be approached at an event to obtain your consent to a photograph being used.
